Quamplex is the name under which software for music is developed. All software projects are released as free software (GPLv3), meaning users have the freedom to run, copy, modify, and distribute it. The word "free," as defined by the Free Software Foundation, refers to freedom, not price. Free software can still be commercial, and as such, Quamplex offers ready-to-run binary versions for sale, so users don't need to spend time figuring out and building the executables themselves. However, if you prefer, you can access the source code and build the program on your own.
All projects are developed using Emacs, the command line, and GNU/Linux. Built with GCC and CMake, version-controlled with Git, and designed using Inkscape, GIMP, and other free software tools.
I’m Iurie Nistor, a software engineer and former physics researcher. In 2017, I started developing a percussive synthesizer called Geonkick. That project later inspired me to explore other music software ideas under the name Quamplex. In my free time, I enjoy coding and nature photography, and I share my photos on Wikimedia Commons.
