Entropictron Version 1.0.0 Has Been Released

Entropictron version 1.0.0 has been released. This is the first version of Entropictron. Entropictron is a free software synthesizer and audio effect. It can produce a variety of sound textures that can serve as background or contextual elements in music tracks. It is available as a VST3 plugin for GNU/Linux and Windows.

Entropictron version 1.0.0 combines and mixes several sound generators and effects, allowing Noise, Crackle, and Glitch to be layered in a single patch. In future releases, there are plans to add more features to the current generators and effects, as well as to introduce new ones, including additional layering options, LFOs and more. All current parameters can be automated. There is also a play mode option, including Playback, On Hold (by MIDI key), and On.

When Entropictron becomes more stable in future releases, we will start selling ready-to-run binaries of the full version, while offering a free download of a basic version. Entropictron will remain free as in freedom software. People who want to use the full version can always access the source code from the repository and build it on their own. The current version 1.0.0 binaries are available free for download.
